Esta escultura explora el concepto de represión.
Utilizo alambre de cobre plastificado tejiéndolo sobre mi cuerpo creando un dibujo sobre él. Acumulo el material en algunas zonas haciéndolo más denso de esta manera cubro, anulo o resalto ciertas partes, dependiendo donde siento más la idea de represión. Por ejemplo la cara, la boca, el sexo.
Es importante la idea de un estado de represión como algo pasajero. Justamente un estado que puede ser transformado, hago una performance para la cámara en donde me desprendo de la escultura para dejarla vacía, y de alguna manera liberar al cuerpo de esa presión.

With this sculpture I explore the concept of repression.
I use black plasticized copper and “weave” it on top of my body, creating a drawing on it.
I accumulate material in some areas making it denser.In this way I cover cancel or highlight, depending where I feel most the idea of repression; for example the face, the mouth, the genitals.
In this work the idea of repression as something ephemeral is important. A state that can be transformed. I made a performance for the camera, where I remove the sculpture from my body and leave it empty, in order to somehow liberate the body.
