Autorretrato 3 cuestiona un rol de género: La idea de la mujer relacionada exclusivamente a las tareas domésticas. Para este proyecto hice un mandil hecho de esponjas de metal (usadas para quitar la mugre acumulada en las ollas de cocina). Una escultura portátil que pudiera mostrar la incomodidad de un cuerpo por estar en un rol que no le pertenece. Existe la posibilidad de usar el mandil o no, de quedarse en un rol al que no perteneces o librarte de él.

Self-Portrait 3 challenges a gender role: the idea of woman being associated exclusively with domestic tasks. For this project I made an apron from metal scouring pads (usually used to scour dirt from pans).
I make this wearable sculpture to show the discomfort of a body being captive in a role where it doesn’t belong. You have the option to wear the apron or not; to be in a role where you don’t belong, or not. To free yourself, or not.
