CAROLINA RIECKHOF BROMMER
Lima 1979
Escultora y diseñadora de vestuario, cuyo trabajo reflexiona sobre el cuerpo humano, partiendo desde la propia experiencia, crea esculturas portables con materiales significativos que le permiten enfocarse, en la relación entre la escultura el espacio y el cuerpo.
Estudió Escultura en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Y obtuvo una maestría en Diseño de Vestuario para Performance en el London College of Fashion.
En el año 2011 colabora con la creación del proyecto Somatic Costume, Movement and Performance
que entiende al vestuario como un elemento portador de sensaciones y simbolismos, el cual ayuda a crear
conciencia en la relación cuerpo-mente.
En los últimos años se ha dedicado a la producción artística y a la colaboración de creación de vestuario escultórico con performers y bailarines de danza contemporánea y folklore peruano.
Docente en la Facultad de Arte y Diseño de la PUCP.
Ha mostrado su trabajo en Lima, Londres, París, Washington y Sri Lanka.

As sculptor and costume designer, Carolina Rieckhof's work reflects on the human body while using her own experiences to address different feelings and emotions from pain to pleasure, from repression to freedom. She creates wearable sculptures and body extensions, using meaningful materials which allow her to explore the relationship between sculpture, space and the human body.
Carolina studied Sculpture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Lima, Peru, and Costume Design for Performance at the London College of Fashion, UK.
She was a founding collaborator in the Somatic Costume, Movement, and Performance project, which perceives costumes as the conveying element of sensory and symbolic experiences, helping to foster consciousness in the body-mind experience.
More recently, she has focused on independent production, as well as costume collaboration with performers, theatre groups, contemporary dancers, and Peruvian folk dancers.
Carolina has exhibited her work in Lima, London, Paris, Colombo, and Washington, and teaches at the Art School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica, Lima, Peru.
